Paleokastritsa is a coastal heaven for anyone who loves beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters, amazing capes and stunning views. But the astonishing nature is not everything. Most of these beaches feature different facilities as well, so you can always grab some drinks or something to eat.
A few tourist attractions are just as important if you need a break from the swimming and sunbathing. All in all, here are the main beaches in Paleokastritsa. They are all easily accessible, while some of them also offer access to secluded and isolated beaches in the area by boat trips.
Whether you are interested in the hustle and bustle of a busy hub or exquisite serenity, Paleokastritsa has something for everyone out there.
Agia Triada
Agia Triada is the type of beach you go to for a feeling of peace. It is well hidden along the coast, while getting there implies going through thick and lush vegetation. Once on the beach, you will love its serene appearance.
Agios Petros
Agios Petros is well hidden within the first cove in the Paleokastritsa area. Some refer to it as a hidden gem because it is not that easy to spot. From this point of view, it offers a good choice to those looking for some tranquillity.
There is nothing like grabbing a book and relaxing on Agios Petros for a few hours.
Agios Spiridon
Agios Spiridon is often referred to as the Paleokastritsa main beach. This is why you can find more facilities here than on other beaches. It is central and offers access to sunbeds and umbrellas as well, not to mention water sports.
Agios Spiridon is a starting point for many boat trips to secluded beaches and caves as well.
Alipa
Located on the eastern side of the area, Alipa stands out in the crowd with its small harbour too. If you like boat trips, you can find quite a few options here, from speedboats to fishing boats. Explore isolated beaches, caves or perhaps spend some quality time on water, without doing anything.
Ampelaki
Ampelaki can be found on one side of the Paleokastritsa area. It is not as popular as other beaches in the area. Instead, it offers a bit of a secluded experience, ideal for those looking for a quiet retreat away from the crowds.
Ampelaki is the westernmost side of the area.
La Grotta
La Grotta is another popular choice, especially given its features on social media. Located in the easternmost side of the area, it offers access to crystal clear waters, some amazing caves and grottos. If you are into snorkelling, this is the place to go to.
Platakia
Platakia takes quietness and tranquillity to another level. Less known than other beaches in the Paleokastritsa area, it gives you the opportunity to unwind, relax and perhaps take a nap in a natural piece of heaven.
