Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh is one of the most notable royals born in Corfu. However, the list is longer than this and includes quite a few famous names from history.

Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh was born in 1921 on the dining room table at Mon Repos. The doctor found the place more suitable than the actual bed. In fact, his first ever photograph shows him at Mon Repos, being held by his mother.
He was christened at a local Greek orthodox church. The event was well celebrated on the island. According to local newspaper Syntagmatiki, plenty of people attended the event, which was supported by fanfare and a few philharmonic bands.

Princess Alexandra of Greece and Denmark was not just a member of the Greek royal family, but also a member of the Russian imperial family. She was born at Mon Repos in 1870. Back then, the villa was the summer residence of the Greek royal family. She passed away due to childbirth complications.

Like other royals, Prince George of Greece and Denmark was born at Mon Repos. He became famous for saving his cousin Nicholas during an assassination attempt in Japan. Years after the Otsu incident, his cousin became the emperor of Russia.

She spent many years of her childhood on the island, as well as different periods of her life. She is also known for being an elder sister of Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh.
She was linked to the Nazi regime for a short period of time. She passed away in 1981.

Stylianos Vlasopoulos was part of the dynasty with the same name. The dynasty was originally registered in 1642 and run Corfu for many years. Stylianos Vlasopoulos held numerous positions in Corfu, including legislator, mayor and governor, among others.
Augustinos Kapodistrias
Augustinos Kapodistrias was a count, but also a politician and a soldier. Born in Corfu in 1778, he gained a notorious position in the governing council after her bother was assassinated. His rule led to severe political instability, as well as anarchy.
