The National Gallery museum is basically the Corfu branch of the Greek National Gallery. It was established in 1993, in the Kato Korakiana area. You will be impressed from the moment you step through the gates. All in all, the gallery is based in two recently renovated buildings known as Castellino and Castelletto. You will find a permanent collection exposing the evolution of Green painting from the post Byzantine years to the most recent creations. Just like you have probably guessed already, the National Gallery also hosts temporary events and exhibits. If you are into art and especially painting, this gallery is a must.
