While not as advertised as other museums, the Kouris Museum is well worth a visit. It’s a personal museum based on the owner’s passion for Corfu’s folklore. Get ready to explore personal items, documents, household stuff, toys, clothing and other things collected from local houses and institutions. Some of the sections cover recent items, but others date from the 18th century. The Kouris Museum is mostly open during the tourist season, so it’s closed throughout the wintertime. On top of this old-school experience, get ready for a guided tour and fascinating information if you run into the owner while visiting.
