For Your Eyes Only is a classic James Bond movie. Starring Roger More, it is one of the first international examples of Corfiot excellence. Most of the scenes are filmed in Kanoni, boosting impressive landscapes between olive trees, not to mention the underwater scenes.

Furthermore, some of the scenes have been shot at the beautiful Achilleion, as well as the tiny Pontikonisi. Whether you love Corfu or you are a big James Bond fan, this movie will give you a few ideas about what to expect on your vacation. Without the villains, of course.

Fedora, 1978

Drama and romance, what else can you ask for before Corfu? Exactly! This movie follows Fedora, a great movie star with an impressive career and a renowned beauty. Out of nowhere, Fedora decided to withdraw on a private island, close to Corfu.

That is when the action begins. While occasionally visited by people she knew, Fedora seemed confused and lost. She felt like she was being held prisoner. Eventually, she killed herself, but some of her close friends thought she was murdered.

My Family And Other Animals, 2005

If you loved the recent series featuring the Durrell family, chances are you will love this movie as well. However, the action seems to be focused on Lawrence Durrell, mainly after him and his family moved to Corfu.

Just like the series, the movie will take you through a bunch of anecdotal stories, many of them hilarious. It is an excellent choice if you want to explore the Corfiot lifestyle, especially since there are not too many differences between those times and today.
