Located in the southern part of the old town, the Church of Saint Iasson and Saint Sossipatros is dedicated to Paul’s disciples, who spread Christianity on the island. The church was erected in the 11th century. Prior to that, it was a monastery. It is a veritable example of Byzantine architecture in Corfu. The church is easy to find due to the red bricks around windows and doors. On the inside, you will find the actual graves of the saints, plus some icons. All in all, the church has undergone some restoration between 1960 and 1980, so it is in good condition.
