Once you get to the old town of Corfu, you simply cannot miss the New Fortress. It is a Venetian fortress built in stages. Once inside, you will find some buildings dating back to the British rule. The top of the castle hosts two representative buildings. One of them hosts the headquarters of the Naval Station of Corfu. Apart from the historical value it adds to the island, the New Fortress also provides some stunning views. You can admire different buildings spread over two levels, as well as chambers, galleries, arches and ramps. The structure also features two identical bastions, which can be visited.
