The Museum of Asian Art is the only museum in Greece dedicated to Asian art. It includes collection of Japanese, Chinese and Indian art, among many others. There are around 11000 objects displayed on site, while the oldest ones date back to the 11th century. It is worth checking the Chinese porcelain, Japanese prints and Indian sculptures. Some of the sculptures are considered to be erotic. The museum is established in the beautiful Palace of Saint Michael and Saint George. It was erected under the British rule. It opened in 1927 with some donations from a Greek ambassador to Austria, Gregorios Manos.
