The Byzantine Museum of Antivouniotissa houses religious art of the Cretan and Heptanese schools in Corfu. It is established inside a church. The church is dedicated to the Holy Mother of God Antivouniotissa and was built in the 15th century. It slowly turned into a museum starting with the 1980s, when various collections were brought in and displayed. Collections include important items by both anonymous and famous artists. They date from the 15th to the 19th century and provide a detailed picture of the religious output in Corfu. While not the most important attraction in Corfu, it is worth a visit when you are in the old town.
