Sick and tired of all the crowds invading beaches on a daily basis in Corfu? There’s a reason why a lot of tourists choose to visit out of season. However, you can also enjoy a bit of tranquillity and chill out on relatively empty beaches during the peak season.

There are quite a few isolated beaches in Corfu, many of them located in the wide area of Paleokastritsa, just south of the main ones. High cliffs, no paths and difficulty in accessing these beaches are some of the factors keeping them so private.

They’re so hard to access that many locals and tourists simply choose to avoid them. But if you’re after a relaxing experience in the middle of nowhere, make sure you can find a boat to take you there. Most of these places can be accessed by boat from the main beaches of Paleokastritsa.

Giali

Giali isn’t as popular as other isolated beaches, but this is exactly what makes it stand out. It’s relatively small, but it offers access to clear and turquoise waters. It’s close to Ermones and Giannades. You can only get there by boat.

Liapades

Sometimes referred to as Gefyra among locals, Liapades is practically a tiny bay close to Paleokastritsa. It has pebbles, so don’t expect too much fine sand. The scenery in the background is simply amazing, while the crystal clear waters add to the overall effect.

Since it’s not that popular, the beach barely has a few people on it. For this reason, the water is cooler than normal.

Limni

Limni is isolated and secluded. It’s one of the few beaches around the village of Liapades. You can normally get there by boat, but good climbers can also access it by land. Make sure you know what you’re doing if you choose the land alternative, as it can be very risky.

If you’ve been to Porto Timoni, expect the exact same type of design, with two pieces of land joined together by a beach strip.

Liniodoros

Some locals may refer to Liniodoros as Iliodoros. It’s the same beach, just to clear out all the confusion. The beach is part of the cape with the same name. It’s nearly impossible to access it by land, so you’ll need to get there by sea.

Keep in mind that there’s no fine sand, but just pebbles. The silence on this beach is impressive.

Paradise

Paradise Beach is by far one of the most popular secluded and isolated beaches around Paleokastritsa, often featured in pictures and videos. Some of the locals refer to it as Chomoi. You’ll only be able to get there by boat. Luckily, there are quite a lot of boats ready to take you there.

You’ll find fine pebbles. Plus, compared to other isolated beaches, it’s more popular, so there are more people around.

Rovinia

Rovinia is slightly different compared to other beaches because it can also be accessed over a path. It’s covered in pebbles and can impress with its natural beauty, caves, rocks, crystal clear waters and greenery.

Stelari

Stelari is one of the largest beaches in Corfu. Its name is given by the stars illuminating it at night. It has an impressive appearance and compared to other beaches in the area, it makes you realize how small you are compared to the force of nature.

A simple look at the surrounding cliffs is more than enough to convince you about its grandeur. It’s mainly covered in pebbles, but there’s a bit of sand too. You can only get there by boat.
